The Jame Masjid was established in 1977 (1397AH) under the patronage of Shaykh Maulana Adam Saheb as the foundation of body of organisations. It began with several Musalees performing in, what was referred to as, the small hall; this name was derived due to the comparison of this hall to the entire space available in the Masjid. Now the Jame Masjid is one of the largest Masajid in Leicester and is currently undergoing renovation.

Oadby & Wigston Muslim Association
Reviews: 0
Located at Oadby and Wigstin. A number of dedicated Muslim brothers and sisters took it upon themselves to get together more than 12 years ago, in the hope of fulfilling this vision. This group grew in strength with time, and over 4 years ago the charitable organisation, Oadby and Wigston Muslim Association ("OWMA") was established. The OWMA is a registered charity (Registered Charity number 1108355), democratically set up and run by local Muslims, with the primary aim to enhance and promote the Islamic faith in the Oadby and Wigston area and provide appropriate premises for a dedicated Muslim Cultural Centre for the community.

Because of its position adjacent to the universities, colleges and the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Masjid-us-Sunnah aims to become a focal point for the Islamic Dawah in Leicester particularly among the students and the local population. Since its establishment on 1988, it has been used for various religious and social functions and programmes.
