First built in 1971, this masjid was redeveloped in 1993 into a four-storey building complete with elevator. Its two levels of prayer hall can accommodate up to 2500 worshippers. Located in the West, it has Internet Corner, which for a nominal annual subscription of $5, members can surf the net for $2 an hour. A newly set up Youth Wing organizes recreational activities such as camping and soccer games for the young. Muslims can benefit from its imam and muezzin courses organized on an ad-hoc basis.

Nested amidst the private house of the well-to-do Malays in the East, this old generation masjid was built in 1965. The masjid with a capacity of 300, underwent minor renovations in 1997 to include additional facilities. It has a full-time imam (religious teacher) and noja (masjid helper). Religious classes are held on an ad-hoc basis. Currently, there are religious classes for the ladies every Thursday evening. Classes for the men are held every Friday evening.

Combining both modern and Islamic architecture, this spanking new masjid was rebuilt to replace an old one built way back in 1924. Completed in 1999, the four-storey masjid located in the East can accommodate up to 2000 people. It is linked to Wisma Indah, a wakaf complex which houses the masjid?s office, commercial offices. Besides organizing regular religious courses for adults, the masjid also provides Internet facilities for visitors.

First built in 1917, this old generation masjid underwent several restorations, the most recent one in 1998. Located in the Central part of the island, its newly-restored building which comes complete with a minaret at the front porch can fill up to 2500 people. Ramadan is a busy month for the mosque as an average of 800 Muslims break their fast at the mosque daily. There are regular religious classes for children and adults.

Wak Tanjong is a whitewashed structure has replaced the semi-wooden prayer hall in this redeveloped masjid located in the Central part of the island. The original masjid dated back to the year 1935. In 1998, the masjid was reopened after undergoing a major restructuring. It has a capacity of 500 people.

Located in Little India/Arab Quarter. The original mosque built on this site was financed with a donation of SGD 3,000 from the East India Company (authorised by none other than Sir Stamford Raffles). There is no mistaking the new Sultan Mosque and its impressive gold dome. Designed by Denis Santry and completed in 1928 the Sultan Mosque has a number of digital clocks designating correct prayer times and is one of Singapores most important religious buildings. Public Transport: From Bugis MRT walk up North Bridge Road.
