Masjid al Qadir

The Jamaat of Masjid Al-Qadir began above a martial arts school and then a storefront located at 2312 E. 75th Street (known to residents as Terror Town). After incidents of children being murdered in the neighborhood from drive-by-shootings, Masjid Al-Qadir was able to clear 6 blocks of drug trafficking, gang intimidation activity, and prostitution. Masjid Al-Qadir held monthly food and clothing distributions, and was received favorably the South Shore Community. At current, Masjid Al-Qadir is located at 7920 5. Kingston. Masjid Al-Qadir helped to open Masjid Al-Kabah in Chicago, and Masjid Al-Qadir in Waukegan, IL, 62 miles north of Chicago.
