Markaz-e-Badri

The Dawoodi Bohras are a Muslim community of about one million. The seat of the community is in Mumbai India. Although the majority of Dawoodi Bohras are concentrated in India and Pakistan a sizeable number are domiciled in Africa Yemen North America and in the European and Gulf countries.In the United Kingdom there are approximately five thousand members. About half of these reside in Greater London with the rest split over Leicester Birmingham Manchester Nottingham and Bradford. Belonging to the Shia Fatimi Tayyibi branch of Islam Dawoodi Bohras believe in the leadership of the descendants of Prophet Mohammed (imams) who once ruled over the Islamic world in the 10th to 12th centuries.
