We would like to introduce ourselves as the followers of Prophet Mohammed (sa), and his Ahlul-Bayt (as). In the world, we are known as Shia Muslims. The members of this center follow the path of Allah (swt) as revealed to Prophet Mohammed (sa), and as practiced by Ahlul-Bayt (as). Therefore, the mission of our center is to educate our members with the teachings of Qoran and Ahlul-Bayt, and to adhere to the path of peace and tolerance with people of all faiths, as exemplified by Ahlul-Bayt (as). To achieve these goals, we organize prayers, Ali Academy’s program on the learning of Quran and Fiqh, short lectures on various topics important to spritual growth, Majalise-Aza-e-Husain (as) during Moharram, Duae-Kumeil on Thursdays, Salatul-Juma on Fridays, and run Al-Mahdi school to facilitate religious education of our children, . We observe all important dates of Islamic Calendar, including the birthdays and days of martydom of Ahlul-Bayt (as), Eide-Ghadeer, and important nightly prayers on occasions like Lailatul-Mairaj in Sha’aban and Lailatul-Ghadr in Ramadan. We serve our community with the Nikah (marriage ceremony), and other services like Ghusl (bathing a dead body) and Tadfeen (burial of a dead body). We provide transportation and financial assistance to the needy members of our community. Also, we plan to organize programs for Hajj and Ziaraathe-Atabathe-Aaliyath in the future.
