Heidar Baba

The feel of our restaurant is much like the poem it is named after, in which Shahriyar, one of Iran’s greatest poets, addresses Heidar Baba, a mountain in the Azerbaijan province. The poet describes the landscape, villages, and life in the countryside so beautifully that we yearn to live in such a place. Painting with his words, Shahriyar articulates an image of country life, a life of simplicity, that makes us yearn for our own childhood memories. Shahriyar pours out his heart to Heidar Baba in such a way as to make us sympathize with him and his lost childhood. When you visit us here at Heidar Baba restaurant, our goal is that you experience some of the feelings Shahriyar was able to produce in his poetry. We hope that all of your senses what you see, what you smell, and of course what you taste-transport you to the foot of our famous montain, where you can enjoy the simple pleasures of good food and good coversation, and where your hearts can be gladdened.
