The Café de la Mosquée de Paris is a North African cafe and tea room that is located within La Grande Mosquée de Paris and serves wonderful traditional pastries and mint teas. The decor is a traditional North African setting, with cedar wood from Algeria, green tiles from Morocco and earthenware from Tunisia, with lots of cushions around to sit on. This cafe attracts a wonderfully mixed clientele including tourists and students, which makes for one of the more unusual cafes in Paris. The cafe is open from 10am through to 11pm, although at certain times of the day and evening the place turns into more of a restaurant, serving full meals, rather than snacks.
