Islamic Society of San Francisco

Also known as the Darussalam Mosque. Located in the heart of San Francisco's Tenderloin district, this masjid is a newly-purchased three-story building with a prayer area on the top floor. A beautiful Andalusian mural adorns the eastern side of the building facing Market street. Khutbas are generally in English, although Quranic Verses in Arabic. This mosque is considered the lead mosque in San Francisco is very involved with all aspects of life, interfaith social work, community organizing and community activities in the heart of the downtown San Francisco area.
