Taranaki Islamic Center

Run by the Muslim Association of Taranaki, established in 2006. There has been a small Muslim community in New Plymouth since the 1930's. Presently we are an ever increasing, multi-national, young and devout community of about 150 people. Our history paints a picture of the constant gathering of Muslim Brothers and Sisters at different family homes as well as small rented homes in order to perform our congregational salaah, to fulfill our educational needs as well as our celebrations of special occasions. We are currently renting a 3 bedroom house that has a fully functional kitchen as well.
