Muhammadi Masjid

Muhammadi Masjid is a registered non-profit organisation establish in the heart of Nelson (East Lancashire) since 1996. Muhammadi Masjid currently serves the needs of over 250 Muslim families in the East Lancashire. The Masjid has a full-time Imam who is a qualified Islamic scholar. Congregational Salaah is held five times daily, as well as the Juma' Salaah on Fridays. Other activities include daily Qur'an classes for children and hadees reading for adults. Special activities include Iftar gatherings during Ramadan, with daily Taraweeh prayer and educational lectures. Currently the Masjid capacity is about 250 for Men and 50 for Women, which is far less than the average attendance on Friday Sermons, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha and during Ramadan Taraweeh Prayer. Worshippers have to pray on half of the prayer mat on most of these occasions. Muhammadi Masjid is a registered charity with the Charity Commission, registration number: 1111465.
